The GranDeliSee project
On April 22, 2023, we founded our cooperative GranDeliSee eG. In Gransee, we operate a market garden specializing in intensive vegetable production combined with tree cultivation, following the principles of regenerative agriculture. Our soil is certified organic in accordance with Article 35, Paragraph 1 of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 on organic production.
We enthusiastically support the idea of collectively taking active responsibility for the pressing issues of our time. In our opinion, the foundations of public services belong in cooperative management, not in the hands of corporations.
We are targeting health-conscious individuals who identify with our vision of healthy, regional food production within the framework of community-supported agriculture (CSA). By working on the fields in Gransee, participants in the CSA help to minimize the price of the products, gain valuable insights into the work of the producers of their food, and become part of a strong community.
Become a member of our cooperative!
Anyone who wants to build a common good with GranDeliSee is warmly invited to participate financially and/or with their labor in our cooperative. One cooperative share costs €100. Anyone who purchases five shares becomes a member of the cooperative and has voting rights.
Here you can read our statutes and arbitration agreement; fill out the participation form and send it directly to willkommen@grandelisee.
We are a diverse group of over 100 people from the Berlin/Potsdam area, united by a common dream: We want to be true pioneers of the agricultural transformation and show that it works!
We have been cultivating the land since spring 2023. We are currently developing our farmstead step by step – with facilities for processing and storing fruit and vegetables. Facilities for communal work and accommodation are now in place.

The region
Our 8-hectare site is located on the eastern outskirts of Gransee, north of Templiner Straße, at an altitude of approximately 50 meters above sea level.
The terrain slopes gently (by about 5 m) from south to north. We have sandy to loamy and peaty soils with – according to the seller – up to 55 soil points.
Gransee has a regional express train connection to Berlin (46-minute journey from Berlin Central Station). It's only a 10-minute walk from the train station to our field.
Our land has the potential to supply up to 300 households year-round. We use approximately one-third of the land for biointensive vegetable cultivation (market gardening). The other two-thirds are tree plantations (orchards and agroforestry) as well as recreational and rotational areas with green manure and extensive crops.
The combination of fast-growing, nitrogen-fixing trees, green manure and irrigation forms the basis for our own composting system for humus build-up.
Extensive animal husbandry for compost enrichment with animal manure is possible in the future, e.g. with chickens or sheep.
